Health Sciences, AS
This two-year degree prepares students to transfer to a four-year college and major in a health sciences program.
Examples of health sciences programs include nursing, dental hygiene, exercise science, and radiation science. This degree is not intended for students who are interested in attending medical or dental school.
Students will learn about anatomy, physiology, and microorganisms; apply relevant quantitative skills; communicate the relationship among nutrition, human development, and lifestyle on disease prevention; and interpret medical terms and abbreviations.

Winter Break: December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026
The college will be on Winter Break, from Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026. During Winter Break, the campuses will be closed, and there will be no on-campus classes or services. Some remote services will be available. Information on these services and how to connect to them are outlined in our news section. Registration for Spring 2026 classes will continue online during Winter Break. Current students may sign up and pay for their classes through their SIS account in myBrightpoint. Our campuses will reopen on January 5, 2026.
