New Student Orientation: Begin Your Brightpoint Journey
Learn how to excel at Brightpoint and beyond.
It’s that time of year! If you’re ready to begin your education at Brightpoint this spring, sign up for New Student Orientation on January 7, 8, or 9.
New Student Orientation introduces you to the college and helps prepare you for success. During orientation at Chester or Midlothian, you will:
-
Get familiar with important tools and technology, like SIS and Navigate.
-
Discover potential academic and career pathways.
-
Receive academic advice, including time management skills and how to learn in a college setting.
-
Hear about our student supports and services, from the Library to the ARC.
At on-campus orientation, you can also meet one-on-one with a representative from Financial Aid.
All newly enrolled first-time college students are required to attend New Student Orientation.
If you’re an online-only student or unable to attend in person, you can join our Virtual New Student Orientation. The virtual session is shorter, focuses mostly on technology tools, and includes an optional financial aid Q&A portion, rather than one-on-one advising.
