Engineering, AS
This two-year degree prepares students for transfer to a four-year college and major in an engineering-related program, such as mechanical, civil, electrical, computer, biomedical, or chemical engineering.
Students will identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems; communicate engineering information; function effectively on a team; and develop and conduct appropriate experiments, analyze and interpret data using software, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

Students interested in studying Engineering will initially be placed in our Science, AS degree. Once they have completed the prerequisite courses, they can apply to the Engineering program.

Winter Break: December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026
The college will be on Winter Break, from Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026. During Winter Break, the campuses will be closed, and there will be no on-campus classes or services. Some remote services will be available. Information on these services and how to connect to them are outlined in our news section. Registration for Spring 2026 classes will continue online during Winter Break. Current students may sign up and pay for their classes through their SIS account in myBrightpoint. Our campuses will reopen on January 5, 2026.
