College Board to Meet in February

CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – The John Tyler Community College Board will hold an electronic meeting to conduct regular business at 3:00 p.m. on February 11, 2021, in accordance with § 2.2 3708.2 of the Code of Virginia and Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly. This is an open meeting.

If the meeting is interrupted by a technical problem, the public may notify the college via email at helpdesk@brightpoint.edu. Due to the nature of the electronic meeting, public comment can be accepted only in written form. Comments can be sent via email to Kara Armstrong at karmstrong@brightpoint.edu by 5:00 p.m. on February 9, 2021. The comments received will become part of the public record.
John Tyler Community College offers more than 75 majors that provide pathways to careers in high-demand fields; transfer opportunities to four-year colleges and universities; and industry credentials and licensures. The college, with campuses in Chester and Midlothian, online classes, and off-campus classrooms, served more than 13,600 students during the 2019-20 academic year. It also assisted more than 6,300 learners through its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance, a partnership between Tyler and Reynolds community colleges.
Spring Break 2024
The college will be observing Spring Break the week of April 1. The college will be open, but there will be no classes. At the Chester Campus, Moyar Hall will be closed for scheduled maintenance. Offices located in that building will be temporarily relocated or their services will only be offered on the Midlothian Campus. Learn more about office hours during Spring Break.
