CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – Interested in learning about careers in information technology (IT)? Then, join us on November 4, 2021, as John Tyler Community College, which is becoming Brightpoint, hosts the next installment of its Career Connector Series. The Career Connector Series is designed to introduce students, alumni, and members of the community to area employers and provide information on pathways to jobs with those businesses and other companies operating in similar fields.

On November 4, representatives from SimpliSafe will share information about their company, its philosophy and work culture; discuss their current IT job openings; and explain what education, skills and credentials are needed to get those jobs. In addition, event attendees will receive information about the variety of IT programs offered by the college and its workforce division, Community College Workforce Alliance, that prepare people for the types of jobs discussed, as well as information about upcoming classes and how to get started.

The Career Connector event on IT will take place online, starting at 5:30 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required. To sign up, go to https://bit.ly/2YZwC5a.

Anyone with questions about the Career Connectors IT event or about IT programs offered by the college should contact Emily Bikowski at ebikowski@brightpoint.edu.
