Our Alumni Were Once Like You
If you don’t have it all figured out, you’re not alone. These three alumni were unsure about college before finding success at Brightpoint:
- Barbara Aceves didn’t know if she could manage her course load with a full-time job and two children to raise. Now, she’s set to graduate from Brightpoint in Spring 2026, and is on her way to earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
- Geovany Chavarria was initially intimidated by a four-year university. After becoming the first in his family to graduate from college, he transferred from Brightpoint to the University of Virginia, studied international business in six different countries, and became an educational specialist with the VCU School of Medicine.
- Renato Arenas took a job as a mechanic because he didn’t think he could afford college. But financial aid changed that. He graduated from Brightpoint and launched his career in IT consulting with global firm KPMG.
