Good for Business

At Brightpoint, we focus on student success and equip our graduates with workforce-ready skills. To do that, we partner with a variety of companies, from Fortune 500s to small business innovators.

Our collaborations range from customizable courses that broaden employee skill sets to industry advisory committees that ensure our academic and workforce programs deliver the quality employees you need. Recent examples have included partnering with HCA Virginia Health System to develop a new radiologic technology program and working with local manufacturers to help their employees obtain specific in-demand industry credentials.

All of Brightpoint’s programs are designed to teach students marketable skills you value. Let’s build the workforce of today and tomorrow, together.

“One of the coolest things at the college is that we get access to the latest and greatest technology. Companies like Altria are major contributors in helping get new equipment. They send some of their employees to the program as well, so it’s in their best interest to make sure that their employees have the best tools to work with.”

Employee Training Options at CCWA

The Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA) offers non-credit education and specialized programs and services, including short-term workforce credentials that train participants in as little as six weeks for the most in-demand jobs in Virginia. CCWA’s Talley Workforce Center on Brightpoint’s Chester Campus allows us to present expanded course offerings and explore new partnerships with local businesses in the Greater Richmond and Crater regions. Thanks to grants and scholarships, CCWA can often offer training that is economical for you and at little or no cost to job seekers or employees.

Talley Workforce Center

The William H. Talley III Center for Workforce Development houses several classrooms and learning spaces, including two digital labs and a state-of-the-art flex lab for developing technical skills in a hands-on environment. CCWA offers a variety of courses in the areas of manufacturing, health care, logistics, skilled trades, information technology, customer service, teacher education, and more at this facility.
