The college served more than 11,700 students during the 2022-23 academic year, and it also assisted more than 4,000 learners through its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance.

Community Impact:
- In fiscal year 2017-18, John Tyler Community College, now Brightpoint, contributed more than $300 million in income to the community.
- More than 95% of our students remain in Virginia after they complete their educational goals, with about 80% staying in our service region after attending the college.
- For every $1.00 invested in the college in 2017-18, state and local taxpayers will receive a cumulative value of $8.70 and students will gain $6.40 in added income.

Spring Break 2024
The college will be observing Spring Break the week of April 1. The college will be open, but there will be no classes. At the Chester Campus, Moyar Hall will be closed for scheduled maintenance. Offices located in that building will be temporarily relocated or their services will only be offered on the Midlothian Campus. Learn more about office hours during Spring Break.
