Clinical Lab Specialist (Part-Time)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide lab assistance to simulation coordinator, faculty, and support the department in maintaining data for nursing accreditation, board of nursing, student demographics, admission data, and student IDs at Brightpoint Community College. Responsible for assisting the department in ordering lab equipment and supplies, providing laboratory support to full- and part-time faculty, and performing duties using safe practices. One person will assist the Program Lead and support the teaching laboratories at the Chester campuses. The person in this position should have the ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include days, evenings, and/or weekends. This is a grant funding part-time position. This part-time position will not exceed 29 hours a week.
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of safety in a healthcare environment. Ability to work independently and be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving up to 30 pounds. Working knowledge or ability to learn computerized inventory control system and/or databases. Ability to work effectively with adults in an educational setting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and utilize good organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a diverse population of faculty and staff. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team within a laboratory setting. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer with current software programs. Successful completion and passing of criminal background check are required.
Additional Considerations: Familiarity working in a lab setting while performing multiple tasks.
