Part- Time Testing Center Specialist (W0629)

GENERAL INFORMATION: Brightpoint Community College is a two-year, public institution of higher education and the third largest of the 23 community colleges in Virginia. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide Distance Education, Placement Testing and other tests to students for the various programs of study at Brightpoint Community College; monitor email and communications; provide testing assistance for students with disabilities. Currently seeking applicants with availability to work a schedule to include 20-29 hours weekly Monday – Friday, primarily based at the Chester Campus. (Positions are limited to working up to 29 hours a week and may vary throughout the year. Incumbents may be required to work either campus as needed, week-day hours, two evenings a week, and Saturdays.)
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with students in a higher education environment. Must have excellent communication skills, computer and customer service skills; be able to work in a fast paced, diverse, and occasionally stressful environment. Applicants must also have the ability to work a flexible schedule at either the Chester or Midlothian campuses and accept related duties as assigned in a relatively unsupervised capacity. Successful completion and passing of a background check is required for employment.
Additional Considerations: Knowledge of on-line testing Canvas and Microsoft Office applications strongly considered.
