Health and Safety
The health and well-being of our students and employees are always a top priority for Brightpoint Community College. The college has a Health and Safety Team that monitors our college community; reviews information from state, federal and health resources; and provides guidance, when needed.
For the health of our campus community, we ask that you do not come to campus if you:
- Are ill, regardless of symptoms
- Have tested positive for COVID, whether you have symptoms or not, or have been tested for COVID-19 because you have symptoms and are awaiting results.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, whether you have symptoms or not, or if you have symptoms and suspect you may have COVID-19 but do not yet have test results, contact your health provider if needed, and follow the guidance provided by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).
- If you are exposed to COVID-19, follow the guidance on the VDH website.
Students who are unable to attend class for any reason, should notify their instructor(s). Employees who are unable to come to campus should notify their supervisor. COVID-19 positive cases and exposures do not need to be reported to the college. Staff in Human Resources and in the Dean of Students Office remain a resource for employees and students.
