Community Impact: 

  • In fiscal year 2017-18, John Tyler Community College, now Brightpoint, contributed more than $300 million in income to the community. 
  • More than 95% of our students remain in Virginia after they complete their educational goals, with about 80% staying in our service region after attending the college.
  • For every $1.00 invested in the college in 2017-18, state and local taxpayers will receive a cumulative value of $8.70 and students will gain $6.40 in added income.
