The college served more than 12,790 students during the 2020-21 academic year. It also assisted more than 5,700 learners through its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance.

- Guaranteed admissions agreements with more than 35 four-year colleges and universities.
Community Impact:
- In fiscal year 2017-18, John Tyler Community College, now Brightpoint, contributed more than $300 million in income to the community.
- More than 95% of our students remain in Virginia after they complete their educational goals, with about 80% staying in our service region after attending the college.
- For every $1.00 invested in the college in 2017-18, state and local taxpayers will receive a cumulative value of $8.70 and students will gain $6.40 in added income.
