Legislative Advocacy
A Place That Changes Lives
At Brightpoint, we spend each and every day helping our students reach their goals. It’s not just what we do, it’s who we are.
Reaching Out to Legislators
During the General Assembly’s regular session, Brightpoint students meet with some of the legislators who serve our service region. During those meetings, our students share their stories and discuss how the college impacts their lives and benefits the community.
How Can You Help?
- Communicate with members of the General Assembly who represent your locality. To find your legislators and their contact information, please visit the Virginia General Assembly home page, and click on “Who’s My Legislator” (near the top of the page).
- Email Holly Walker if you would like to join the college delegation on future trips to the Virginia General Assembly.
June 11 – Change in Operations
On June 11, the Help Hub, Financial Aid, and Business Office (and Cashier’s Office) will be closed so that staff may participate in an in-service day. Navigators, advising, Admissions and Records, and tech support services will not be available, remotely or on campus, during this day. The Financial Aid Office and Business Office will be offering services remotely. Students who need to reach either office may text 804-476-0401; call 804-796-4000 and press 1; or email Financial Aid at financialaid@brightpoint.edu or the Business Office at businessoffice@brightpoint.edu.
