Make Life-Saving Medicines and a Better Financial Future for Yourself

Brightpoint and its workforce development division, Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), are training students like to you to fill exciting new pharmaceutical manufacturing jobs in the greater Richmond and Tri-Cities areas.

Both programs offer:

  • Training from industry professionals
  • Flexible and convenient classes at the Chester Campus
  • Tuition assistance for students who meet residency and/or income qualifications

Find the Right Program for You

  • Program length: 2 semesters (approximately 9 months)

    What you’ll learn:

    • Pharmaceutical production processes
    • Analysis processes
    • Quality control
    • Equipment management

    You’ll be prepared for associate-level jobs such as:

    • QA Auditor/Associate
    • Quality Control Associate
    • Isolator Operator
    • Fill-Finish Operator
    • Laboratory Technician

    What you’ll earn:

    • A career studies certificate in pharmaceutical manufacturing
    • Industry experience through a required 75-hour internship
    • 18 college credit hours, which could be applied to a future program of study, such as an associate degree

    What you’ll learn:

    • How to maintain the technical equipment and systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing
    • Operational process monitoring, organization and responsibilities
    • General pharmaceutical processes and controls
    • Product sampling for quality assurance

    You’ll be prepared for entry-level jobs such as:

    • API Manufacturing Technician
    • Packing and Shipping Technician
    • Machine Operators
    • Process Technician

    What you’ll earn:

    • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (PharmaMT) credential
    • Chemistry Manufacturing (ChemMT) credential
    • Manufacturing Specialist (MS) credential
