Winter Break: Services
Brightpoint Community College will be on Winter Break December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026.
During Winter Break:
- The college's campuses will be closed.
- Some remote services will be offered. There will be no on-campus classes or services.
- Winter Mini sessions classes will be held online, as scheduled.
- New students may continue applying to the college, using our online application.
- Current students may register and pay for Spring 2026 classes using the Student Information System (SIS) in myBrightpoint.
Services
Help Hub
Students who need assistance during Winter Break, whether enrolled in Mini-Session courses or in general, should email the Help Hub. This email address will be monitored Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., except on December 24, December 25, December 31, and January 1.
Students seeking advising support are encouraged to take part in Smart Start Saturday on January 3. See below for details.
Admissions & Records
The Admissions and Records Office will provide assistance via email. This email account will be monitored periodically during the break, so responses will not be immediate.
Library
Library resources will be available remotely during Winter Break. Librarians will monitor the library’s email inbox and Ask-A-Librarian service, checking and responding to emails as needed daily, excluding December 25 and January 1. Ask-A-Librarian is available 24/7/365 for students. Students may also use the library’s website for access to databases and other virtual resources.
Testing Center
The Testing Center will be closed during the break for in-person testing. There will be some limited virtual hours to support the Winter Mini Session students to proctor make-up tests through remote test proctoring, to administer the NAS 2 test, and to respond to phone and email inquiries on December 29 – 31 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Students can best connect to the Testing Center through email.
Tutoring through the Academic Resource Center (ARC)
The ARC will be closed over the break. Students have access to Brainfuse Tutoring with the exception of December 25 and January 1. Brainfuse's Writing Lab will be available for students during those holidays. Students can follow step-by-step instructions on how to access Brainfuse - available on the ARC web page - or email the ARC inbox with any questions.
2026
January 3: Virtual Smart Start Saturday – Students can meet with professional advisors and new student navigators via Zoom during Smart Start Saturday on January 3, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Learn more about this event and how to connect to it on the Help Hub web page.
January 5: Brightpoint’s campuses reopen.
January 5: Tuition deadline for Spring 2026 15-week, 7-week-1, and 5-week-1 classes.
January 12: Spring 2026 semester classes begin.
