Diplomas
Diplomas are not handed out at the spring commencement ceremony. You will receive a diploma cover upon crossing the stage at the commencement ceremony.
It takes approximately 30 days to process all graduation applications after the end of the semester.
Once this process is complete, graduates will receive an email from Parchment with a link to access their electronic diploma. Orders for replacement diplomas before the original has been issued will be cancelled. Graduates will log in or set up an account with Parchment within 72 hours and verify their mailing address. After 72 hours, graduates can still access the electronic diploma but will not be able to update the mailing address. Paper diplomas will be mailed to the address on file within 15 business days; please allow at least three weeks from the date of the email to receive the paper diploma.
Make certain that your mailing address is accurate in the Student Information System in myBrightpoint and check your student email account for important information regarding when diplomas are available. If you need official verification of your graduation, you should request your official transcript 3-4 weeks after your graduation date.
Your first diploma will be at no cost to you. If you do not receive your diploma and it is not returned to the college, it is your responsibility to request a replacement. Replacement diplomas cost $12 and can be ordered by the graduate through Parchment.
All graduation honors reflect all coursework attempted at Brightpoint. This includes courses that may not be used in satisfying specific graduation requirements.
December 5: Change in Operations
Due to the weather, Brightpoint Community College will be operating remotely Friday, December 5. Buildings on campuses will be closed. No classes, services or activities will be held on campus, and the Scholarship Celebration Luncheon scheduled for December 5 has been cancelled.
Students who are scheduled to have on-campus classes on Friday should check Canvas and their student email for updates from their instructors. Students who are scheduled to test on campus in the Testing Center should reschedule their test in Register Blast or contact the Testing Center via email for assistance. Virtual testing appointments will be held as planned.
