CHESTER and MIDLOTHIAN, Va. – Brightpoint Community College invites the community to join the college’s faculty, staff and students at 11:00 a.m. on November 10, 2023, as they honor those who have served in the armed forces. The college’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the Midlothian Campus, located at 800 Charter Colony Parkway, in Hamel Hall, room H109.

This year’s ceremony will feature a keynote address delivered by Connor Burns, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and an alumni of the Posse Veterans Program, which supports veterans interested in pursuing bachelor’s degrees. During the ceremony, the college will also recognize its faculty, staff and student veterans, as well as all veterans in attendance. In addition, attendees will be invited to take part in a memorial tree planting. This year’s tree was donated by Carl Duffey of the James River Rotary Club and the Brightpoint Community College Student Veterans Organization.
