Free Transfer Applications for Virginia Institutions
To celebrate National Transfer Week, over 30 four-year, Virginia colleges and universities are allowing students to apply for free. Check out the list of participating institutions, and if you have questions, reach out to your transfer institution for more details.

HBCU Experience
Interested in transferring to an historically black college or university? We’re hosting HBCU Experience at our Midlothian Campus on October 22, so you get the chance to meet with representatives from multiple historically black colleges and universities in Virginia.

University of Richmond Virtual Information Session
Curious about studying at the University of Richmond? Attend a virtual information session to explore programs, transfer opportunities, financial aid, and student resources. A live Q&A will help you get answers tailored to your needs.
The virtual event is on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. Please register before joining the session.
Christopher Newport Information Tables
Have you thought about transferring to Christopher Newport University? On October 23, you can speak with Liz Queen from CNU to learn about the college’s programs and campus life. Liz will be on the Midlothian Campus in front of the Library in Hamel Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and on the first floor of Moyar Hall in Chester from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Show Your Pride: Wear Transfer Gear on October 23
Brightpoint students, faculty, and staff are invited to wear apparel and gear from their intended transfer school or their alma mater. Students–make sure to ask our employees about their college experiences. You’ll get personal insights about the college and learn which schools might be the best fits for you!
