Pivot with Purpose is a dynamic, hands-on career transformation event brought to you by Virginia’s Community Colleges and Virginia Works. Whether you’re a recently displaced worker, a long-term job seeker, or someone ready to make a meaningful career change, you’ll gain the tools and confidence to take your next step.

Enjoy expert-led breakout sessions tailored to your transition, chat directly with industry professionals, build new connections through guided networking, and walk away with an actionable plan for your future. Expect an evening full of learning, upskilling, and practical insights—along with complimentary food to keep you fueled as you engage and grow. 

The event is free and open to the community. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Employers from the region will be on campus to share information about opportunities and recruit candidates for positions in a wide range of fields and industries. The focus will be on internships, part-time jobs, and apprenticeships, but some employers may also have full-time positions available. Please dress professionally and bring copies of your resume to share.

During this event, hosted by Student Activities, you'll have the opportunity to connect with student clubs and organizations, college staff and departments who provide services to students, and  more. Food trucks, ice cream and snacks will be available.

At the Midlothian Campus, Brightpoint Connect will take place in the courtyard between Hamel Hall and Trailblazer Hall.

Get ready for ExpressFest 2026, an event showcasing our students' talents through a speech contest, student film showcase, and spoken word poetry slam! The event is free and open to the community.
