Care Team
The college's Care Team was established to provide support to students struggling with personal issues impacting their success.
Care Team Reporting Form
A Care team has been established to connect students to support services on campus and in the community when needed. The team is made up of individuals from the Dean of Students Office, Student Accessibility Services, the Advising Centers and Security Services.
Any student, employee or community member is encouraged to complete the above Reporting Form to notify the Care Team of a student who may be in need of assistance. When a referral is received it is assigned to a Care Team representative who will reach out to the student. The student will be offered support and resources both internal and external to the college.
Please know that the Care Team referral should not be used in emergency situations. If there is a risk of imminent danger please contact security or call 911. If 911 is called from a cell phone, please also alert Brightpoint Security Services.
For more information contact Michelle Spencer, Associate Dean of Students at 804-594-1534 or Sandra Kirkland, Dean of Students at 804-594-1566.
