Health and Safety
The health and well-being of our students and employees are always a top priority for Brightpoint Community College. The college has a Health and Safety Team that monitors our college community; reviews information from state, federal and health resources; and provides guidance, when needed.
For the health of our campus community, we ask that you:
- Do not come to campus if you are ill, regardless of symptoms.
- If needed, contact your health provider and follow the guidance they give you.
- The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) provides information and guidance on a number of contagious illness, including but not limited to COVID, influenza (flu), RSV, other respiratory illnesses, and norovirus.
Students who are unable to attend class for any reason, should notify their instructor(s). Employees who are unable to come to campus should notify their supervisor. COVID-19 positive cases and exposures do not need to be reported to the college. Staff in Human Resources and in the Dean of Students Office remain a resource for employees and students.
