On-Campus Computers
Both campus locations provide computers, printers, and Wi-Fi for public and student use. Computer use is currently limited to students-only during the pandemic; black and white printing only.
Chester
- Windows 10 and Office 2016

- ADF scanner
Midlothian
- Windows 10 and Office 2016
- Laser printers. Color and black and white available
- One flatbed scanner and one ADF scanner
Laptops
Laptops are available for checkout by current students at both campus libraries.
- Students must sign library technology user agreement.
- Students are responsible for the entire cost of a laptop or Chromebook if stolen or damaged. This may be over $1000.
- Files are not permanently saved to library computers. Students should back up all files to an external device or online storage (i.e. external hard drive, flash drive, Google, Dropbox, etc.)
- Chester and Midlothian offer Dell laptops
Tablets
Wacom Writing Tablets are available for checkout by current students at both campus libraries.
- Tablets can connect to a PC or Apple device
- Useful for taking notes, submitting written work in Canvas or other electronic assignments that have drawing tools, graphic design or art, and writing equations in math and science courses
Chromebooks
Chromebooks are available for checkout by current students at both campus libraries.
- Students must sign library technology user agreement.
- Students are responsible for the entire cost of a laptop or Chromebook if stolen or damaged. This may be over $1000.
- Files must be saved to a Google Drive account or some other method (Chromebooks will not retain files)
- Renewals are not allowed. Students must wait until the next business day to checkout a Chromebook again.
Calculators
Both Libraries have graphing and scientific calculators available for checkout.
- Students enrolled in specific math courses may be able to borrow calculators for the length of their course.
- Students will be asked to provide proof of enrollment (schedule or Canvas course page) for semester loans.
- Students who are not enrolled in the specified math classes may borrow calculators for one week.
- All students will sign the technology user agreement for checkout.
- Students are responsible for the entire cost of the calculator if stolen or damaged. This may be over $100.
