Need Extra Support? We’re Here to Help
Lean on Brightpoint’s student support services and resources this November, from mental health counseling to free food items and unlimited tutoring sessions.
Your Wellbeing Is Important
With fall classes in full swing and the winter season approaching, we wanted to make sure you’re aware of the support services and resources available to you as a student.
TimelyCare
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, it can help to talk with someone. All Brightpoint students have access to TimelyCare, a free mental and emotional support program available 24/7. Get virtual care from mental and emotional health professionals, including solo counseling sessions and on-demand texting. Simply sign up online or on the TimelyCare app.
Food Pantries
There’s no need to go without–visit our food pantries on either campus to get free, non-perishable food items. Some items are ready to eat, helping you save time on cooking preparations. Personal hygiene products are also available at no cost.
You don't have to fill out an application or make an appointment. Food pantry items are free to current students facing difficulties in securing food and other necessities. Stop by at any time during regular campus hours. For further information or assistance with resourcing food, contact the Dean of Students Office.
ARC
Let’s say you’re making a pile of flashcards to study for your upcoming exam, but can’t seem to find your notes about a crucial section of the test. What should you do? Head to the Academic Resource Center to meet with tutors who have expertise in many majors and fields, from health sciences to business and accounting. You can also receive writing assistance for essays, personal statements, reports, and more. Our tutors have been where you are, so they know how to help you through your course-related challenges.
Libraries
If you’re in need of a quiet place to study, visit one of the Brightpoint libraries on either campus. Have a solo study session, or bring a study group, and collaborate in a private room. While you’re there, ask a librarian where to locate resources for final projects and tests. And when you need to print a report, use our free library printers.
Unsure Where to Start? Try the CARE Team
Our CARE Team includes Brightpoint experts with the skills needed to support students with personal challenges affecting their ability to succeed at the college. Fill out a CARE Form if you or another student you know might benefit from additional support.
