Dual Enrollment
Brightpoint’s dual enrollment program allows high school students to enroll in courses for which they earn both high school and college credit. Classes are offered in English, math, business, technology and more. Dual enrollment courses are held at the high school and follow the high school’s calendar and schedule. High school counseling staff identify prospective participants and guide students through the application and qualification process.
Dual enrollment students are able to:
- Explore career interests
- Get a jump-start on their college careers
- Earn both high school and college credit
- Transfer applicable college credit to most 4-year colleges and universities in Virginia
Through Brightpoint’s dual enrollment program, Tanner Lester set in motion a career in architectural drafting while still in high school. “I wanted to find a two-year degree that launched me straight into a career,” Tanner said. “After I earned those architectural drafting skills, I really didn’t need to take more classes for my career path.”
Additional Information About Dual Enrollment
Winter Break: December 24, 2025 – January 2, 2026
The college will be on Winter Break, from Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026. During Winter Break, the campuses will be closed, and there will be no on-campus classes or services. Some remote services will be available. Information on these services and how to connect to them are outlined in our news section. Registration for Spring 2026 classes will continue online during Winter Break. Current students may sign up and pay for their classes through their SIS account in myBrightpoint. Our campuses will reopen on January 5, 2026.
