On your application, you can select Nursing, AAS as your major and will be placed into it based on your agreement of the following:
As a student interested in nursing as my academic major, I understand that when I enroll at Brightpoint Community College, my major may be declared as nursing. I understand that while nursing may be my declared major, I will not be eligible to enroll in any nursing classes (NSG prefix) until I am formally admitted into the AAS Nursing program. I understand that I must first meet all requirements for admission into the AAS-Nursing program, to include: completing all pre-requisite courses with a grade of “C” or better, maintaining a minimum GPA, meeting minimum entrance exam scores, and submitting the official application to the nursing program. Brightpoint Community College’s AAS-Nursing program is competitive, and I understand that even if I achieve or exceed the minimum entrance requirements, I am not guaranteed admission into the nursing program. If I am not formally admitted to the AAS-Nursing program at Brightpoint Community College, I understand that I will not be allowed to enroll in nursing (NSG) classes and may be removed from the nursing major at that time.
