Eligibility
To qualify for G3, you must:
- Be enrolled in a G3 program
- Be a Virginia resident eligible for in-state tuition
- Complete a FAFSA with Brightpoint’s FAFSA Code: 004004*
- Enroll in at least six credit hours*
- Hold a high school diploma or GED*
- Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements*
- Meet income eligibility requirements

How G3 Works
G3 funding covers the gap between federal/state financial aid and tuition/mandatory fees for eligible programs. A book stipend is also available based on your enrollment level.
- G3 funding is available for full- and part-time students.
- Funding can be used for up to three years from your first semester.
- Household income or eligibility for federal assistance must be documented.
Brightpoint G3 Programs
Brightpoint offers certificates and career studies certificates that can generally be completed in a year or less, as well as associate degrees that can usually be completed in two years.

CCWA FastForward Programs
Offered through Brightpoint’s workforce division, Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), FastForward provides short-term job training to launch careers in Virginia’s most in-demand fields. Many FastForward programs are eligible for G3 funding and can be completed in as little as six weeks.
